Michael Hodgson

Mr. Hodgson advises clients on data privacy and cyber security issues including data breach and response, compliance with breach notification laws,and theft of intellectual property.

He also conducts internal investigations and advises clients in connection with formulating a litigation strategy or preparing a referral.

Mr. Hodgson has extensive experience in conducting internal investigations and handling complex commercial litigation across a variety of industries. He has also advised clients in regulatory inquiries conducted by federal and state agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, and various state attorneys general.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hodgson was an associate at a litigation boutique, and was previously in the litigation group with a large international firm. He also completed a secondment in the compliance department of a major financial institution. He received an A.B. In English from Princeton University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of The George Washington Law Review. A
